Dr. Pillai (Babaji) recently announced an initiation for his students to obtain a light body which is taking place in Singapore on December 31-January 1. Depending upon the level of interest, he has also agreed to perform the same initiation in the United States in the spring. As questions arise and people are looking for continued guidance on the subject, one of his students shared this beautiful experience:
When I first came to see Babaji in physical form in his home during a June Radha Krishna seminar in San Diego, I was really moved and he really touched my heart. I was kindly placed on the floor in front of him, and I came to see how he was literally transmitting his light to everyone in the room, and after transmitting he started absorbing karma from his students. (It was immediately noticeable because before each break of the seminar his faith would turn really dark and when this realization came to me he looked at me with a look like “yeah….”)
Outside on the vortex grounds of his home as he was walking around, there was a fountain-like stream of energy being raised from his feet, and shot all the way into the sky. Being so moved and not knowing of student-Guru etiquette, I felt a very strong urge to ask him for a hug before I left. He humbly said no with an innocent shaking of the head.
I felt completely shut down internally, but a dear friend said I wasn’t ready, and that it would be like putting an enormous amount of electricity in a tiny circuit. It would explode. On Guru Purnima I couldn’t afford to see his webcast but before it took place, many of his kind students messaged me to do a pooja for his picture. After doing so I immediately felt sleepy and so before the full moon came out, I laid on the bed.
Babaji came to me in a dream. We were in a room and there was a sculpture mounted on a wall. Suddenly it turned into Babaji’s face and his right-eye transmitted an enormous jolt of energy to my eye, from which I started feeling wobbly and in a state of ecstasy. I started fainting to the floor, but I knew I was safe and somehow was reassured that everything was ok. Before I fell to the ground my eyes closed and I felt him gently place me down. There was a void-like feeling for a few hours where I went into the deepest sleep of my life. I woke up scratching my head because by then Guru Purnima was over.
Inspired to do seva I went back to the San Diego Hope Center a couple months later, and after some humble service on my part, I was able to share with Jai Radha. She said that, “it’s because that’s all you desired”, and mentioned how he had told her that “I could give you a light body right now with a hug, but you have to be ready.”
From my humble intuitive source we have come back from other lifetimes to meet Babaji during this lifetime because the time is right for a light body, so reading this means you’re definitely someone who desires a light body, or you wouldn’t bother. That being said, that desire in your heart for a light body, and for nothing else other than Babaji’s grace and mercy is what will ultimately decide.
In the ‘Story of Lila‘ session Babaji introduced the story of Vasistha and spoke about the illusory reality we had “consciously chose to live unconsciously,” and then went about prescribing a powerfully energized mantra: ” I Have a Light Body.” Saying it with conviction brings about a phenomenal increase in Light. I haven’t fully developed a light body yet, but ever since then many spiritual grace periods have taken place as well as an overall feeling of gratitude, love, and happiness.
This is like a fairytale that comes true. See you in Singapore!
